WHY DOES WHEEL ALIGNMENT MATTER?
Having your wheels aligned and getting that alignment checked yearly can help you save money in a couple of ways. Poorly aligned tyres can wear out faster and need replacing more often. But Misalignment can also decrease fuel mileage by up to 10%. Therefore, a wheel alignment could help you conserve fuel and fill up less often.
Aligning the steering or parallelism of the car is a vital operation in order to enjoy safe and comfortable driving. It means ensure the wheels are parallel on each axle, and the axles are parallel to each other, adjusting wheel angles according to the vehicle manufacturer's measurements.
WHEN SHOULD I CARRY OUT WHEEL ALIGNMENT?
Ideally we would suggest having your wheel alignment checked once a year, or every 15,000 kilometres. Having this checked will correct any deviations caused by impacts with kerbs, driving over potholes, whenever you fit new or rotate tyres - swapping front and back tyres is an exmaple.
It is essential to have the WHEEL ALIGNMENT checked.
We also strongly recommend have your WHEEL ALIGNMENT checked should when you replace any part of your cars suspension or steering, or if you have hit anything, an accident for example.

FAQs
IS ALIGNMENT THE SAME AS WHEEL BALANCING?
No, it’s not the same.
Alignment involves setting the wheels on each axle in parallel, and the axles parallel to each other, adjusting wheel angles so that the car steering does not drift to one side, as well as ensuring driver comfort and good grip for the tyres, thus guaranteeing safety at the wheel.
Balancing is a mechanical process of adjusting the wheels to prevent vehicle vibration at any speed, no matter what type of driving is used.
